The programme is designed for senior managers and other leaders who shape strategy in their organisation. The programme will embody Cherith Simmons CLEVER Leadership™ and innovation approaches to face the challenge of a post pandemic world.

Programmes run from 5 – 8 days over 4 – 12 months and can be delivered face to face on site, or by distance learning, or a combination of the two.

Programmes can be attended via our Open Access schedule or be commissioned by and tailored to your organisation working with interdisciplinary groups of senior leaders to shape the future of the organisation.

Accredited by CMI/ILM at level 7 certificate or diploma level.

This is a post graduate Masters level programme and all tutors hold Masters degrees.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and comment upon the dynamics of change and factors influencing change.
  • Identify the stakeholders who will need to support any proposed changes and their expectations.
  • Examine methods for gaining awareness, involvement and ownership of the changes from our key stakeholders.
  • Examine the way individuals react to change, what influences the reactions and how we can ensure their commitment to change.
  • Understand the impact of effective leadership on successful change.
  • Review tools for generating improvements and innovation to ensure our proposed changes add value to what we offer.
  • Use decision-taking and influencing tools to examine options and make objective choices between different solutions for change or improvement.
  • Understand and use tools & techniques for the managing the process of change.
  • Understand how to systematically approach decisions and initiate practical decision taking processes whilst ensuring input from team members and other key stakeholders.
  • Present a convincing case for change to overcome organisational and stakeholder barriers.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Have analysed and assessed their leadership and team style and its strengths and weaknesses.
  • Have explored a series of leadership models.
  • Have examined how the use of a common and cohesive approach can influence others to achieve the desired objectives.

  • Have assessed the factors influencing the choice of leadership styles or behaviours in the workplace.
  • Have explored different kinds of organisational teams.
  • Have understood the challenges with working with diverse/remote/multiple and virtual teams.
  • Applied leadership styles to workplace situations.
  • Have deepened their understanding of the essentials of team motivation.
  • Have examined models of the motivational theory and understand their application.
  • Be clear about the practical actions which they can take to motivate people towards results.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the drivers for their marketing strategy for their organisations.
  • Understand the customer journey and create a service processed in their organisation.
  • Develop strategies for analysing and improving service processes and deliver more for less.
  • Understand the impact of service provider behaviour on customers’ perceptions of quality and be able to implement behavioural service standards.
  • Be able to demonstrate the viability and payback for the strategies they develop.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Be aware of the characteristics of high performing organisations and the measures we could use to benchmark performance.
  • Be aware of the contribution, structure and impacts of agile approaches to fulfilling the organisation’s purpose.
  • Understand the essential elements of organisational culture and be able to identify areas for improvement.
  • Understand structures, systems and processes to support high performance & agility.
  • Be aware of the most appropriate leadership styles to deliver high performance and agility.
  • Be aware of the impacts of social media on perceptions of performance and how these may be managed.
