Bromley’s appraisal system was underused and inconsistently applied by managers. Our challenge was to work with Bromley to develop and implement new appraisal process from scratch.

The design of the programme was conducted in partnership with representative staff groups at all levels and piloted before being rolled out to Bromley’s 2,500 staff.

The approach embedded a coaching approach using structed conversations, competency design, the provision of question banks at all levels, staff training and the provision of the electronic tracking format for the system.

The systems was designed and delivered within 3 months and embedded over the next 3 months
Take up of the new ‘Discuss’ approach has been substantial, far outweighing the regular suage of the previous approach

In addition we have a run a series of short programmes for Bromley and are currently working on new projects for delivery.
