Who is the programme for?

If you want to benchmark or improve your essential leadership and management skills these programmes are for you.

Accredited by ILM (the UK’s largest awarding body for management qualifications and part of City & Guilds) at level 3, these open-access programmes enable existing or aspiring managers and supervisors to gain a qualification via our online virtual workshop programmes.

All sessions are supported by comprehensive ILM/Ofsted approved learning materials. Anyone can register, there are no entrance exams, and you will work with highly experienced tutors and small groups of people like you to improve your career progression.

You can qualify at Award, Certificate or Diploma Level and programmes are run through monthly day-long workshops for 4 months, 6 months or 15 months for the Diploma.

The programme is assessed through short written assignments throughout the programme and is focused on real workplace challenges and opportunities.

Take advantage of at least 95% Government funding

Programmes can be funded by you, your employer, or for Diploma programmes only, through the Apprentice Scheme which means the Government pays at least 95% of your course fees* (*England only) Apprentices are designed to upskill existing managers and there are no age barriers.

How does the funding work?

Management apprenticeships are funded through a levy scheme operated by HMRC which deducts 0.5% of annual payroll above £3 million. Employers can access this fund when they employ an approved Apprenticeship provider such as us to deliver the programme. Cherith Simmons can directly access the funding to pay for the apprentices’ training. Other schemes provide 95% funding for smaller organisations, which Cherith Simmons can access on your behalf. Funding is currently worth £4,500.00 per apprentice making the training effectively free except for the accreditation fee.

What certification will you get?

Uniquely we deliver 2 qualifications in one,

  • Level 3 Leaders and Supervisors Apprenticeship.
  • Level 3 Diploma for Managers.

This means learners have more flexibility in deciding how they present their skills level, and it offers the opportunity to train managers who may not be eligible for an apprenticeship, on the same programme.

How is the apprenticeship programme delivered?

The programme is delivered through our Virtual Classroom system with highly interactive live zoom monthly workshops in 6-hour sessions over a year. Comprehensive workbooks are supplied by our fully integrated Learning Managing System. Self-study distance learning versions are available through our Night School programme.
